OPENING GENERAL SESSION

EMS from Death’s Perspective (This session is for all providers)

Bob Page, AAS, NREMT-P, CCEMT-P, I/C, Director of Emergency Care Education, St John’s Hospital, Springfield, Missouri

Imagine having the grim reaper address a group of EMS personnel! That is exactly what occurs during this wildly successful session. “Death” addresses EMS personnel in a frank and blunt manner. Bob dresses in a grim reaper costume and includes audio and visual stimuli complete with “graveyard tested” music and gruesome photos to get the point across. There is also a healthy dose of humor involved. The theme of the talk focuses on common errors and misconceptions about patient care and education that only Death himself can bring to light. This talk is like none the audience has ever seen or heard before.

This is the opening session to nearly one hundred sessions of educational opportunities for EMS administrators, personnel (of all Levels), Instructors, Regional Council members and the public over the two day of the conference.
