This award recognizes individuals who have given of their time and Talents to improve the level of pre-hospital care. The candidate’s contribution may be to any facet of pre-hospital care - - on town, regional or state levels, and may be for direct patient care or for participation on committees, councils, organization, or communications.
A nomination application with a description of the accomplishments of the Candidate should include some or all of the following criteria:
1. Devoting time beyond expectation to duties such as:
· Responding to more Ambulance calls
· Participating in special events to promote EMS
· Helping to maintain EMS equipment or ambulances
· Improving EMS communications, either written or telmetetric
· Other
2. Willingness to take on tasks to, such as:
· Heightening community awareness for EMS and ALS
· Improving the skills of lay citizens in BLS
· Other
3. Providing leadership in EMS on several levels:
· On town, region or state organizations and/or committees
· Providing guidance, management, directorship, tutelage or coaching in any EMS related organization
· Other
4. Being a catalyst for measurably improving the pre-hospital care system, locally or on county, region or state level
