The
mission of Emergency Medical Services
Educational Seminars Foundation (EMS:
Ed/Sem) is:
To
provide the highest quality continuing
education available for individuals, who
provide emergency medical services,
including first medical responders,
emergency medical technicians and
paramedics. This education will represent optimal
standards of care irrespective of
jurisdictional variables in protocols or
operational procedures at the local,
intrastate regional and state levels. It
will be provided to all that participate
in emergency medical services regardless
of type or category of affiliated
provider company; or individual race,
color, gender or creed. It will focus on those skills and
knowledge that encourage disparate groups
to communicate and join together forming
the foundation for an integrated EMS
delivery system.
Our objectives are:
v
Providing
a forum for communication, education, and
information sharing that focuses on a
systems approach to the delivery of
out-of-hospital emergency medical care
and transportation.
v
Designing
an educational structure that is
inclusive of all providers of our EMS
system.
v
Identifying
and using resources, both published and
unpublished that are inclusive of
national standards, and future
projections as well as local documents
and plans.
v
Modifying
its presentations and educational
curricula to compliment and support
existing state, regional, local, and
organizational EMS committees and
councils throughout the northeast.
v
Demonstrating
advocacy to, for all services and
organizations and shall maintain focus on
interstate, and intrastate systems
approach to development and maintenance
of an EMS system of the highest quality.
