The
future of EMS:

Emergency Medical
Service Youth Explorer Posts from around
Connecticut are welcomed with open arms to help at the
Connecticut EMS Educational Seminar Foundation's
Annual Conference.
During this 3rd
weekend of March 2009, Explorer Posts were
represented by Ellington Rescue, Winsted EMS, Westport
EMS, Echo Hose Company, Fairfield Police and Hunter's
Ambulance EMS Explorer Posts. Besides assisting the
organization with their annual educational conference,
they had the opportunity to attend a variety of
training lectures from medical and emergency
professionals from all over the country.
National Exploring
is a co-ed career based youth program, administered
through the Boy Scouts of America geared toward
guiding teenagers age 14- 20 years of age toward the
careers they are currently interested in.
Organizations, agencies and industry's of all
varieties charter and sponsor these career
posts. Emergency Medical Services is just one of many
career posts throughout Connecticut and the country.
Like many teenagers, they have their goals set in
stone at an early age as to where they are heading in
life and a career. By allowing them the many
opportunities to Explore up close with adult mentors
at their side gives them many advantages prior to
graduating high school. With a wide range of certified
training under their belt and opportunities to earn
community service hours within their community, is
just a small part of helping our youth stay
focused and on the right path of being the future
generation in their careers and in society.
